On Tuesday, April 23, staff from Papa John's Pizza and Slice, their mascot, visited Asheville Humane Society to deliver 10,000 free pizza coupons. After participating in this year's Dine To Be Kind fundraiser, Papa John's wanted to do more to help the pets and people of our community. In addition to the 10,000 coupons for AHS adopters and supporters, Papa John's will be including AHS in their advertising, including pizza boxes and billboards, to help boost adoptions.
"We are very grateful to Papa John's for supporting our efforts to help homeless pets find their forever families," said John Haas, interim executive director at Asheville Humane Society. "Through their advertisement of Asheville Humane Society on every pizza box, we hope to bring more pet lovers through our doors to find their new family member! And as a thank you, each adopter will receive a 'free pizza' coupon, courtesy of Papa John's. It's a win-win for all!"
Papa John's franchise owner, Bo Knapp, said, "People love their pets and pets love their people. Asheville Humane Society brings the two together and we are happy to support their efforts however we can."
