Volunteer Ambassadors

Dine To Be Kind wouldn't be possible without the help of our generous Restaurant Ambassadors. We are looking for enthusiastic and outgoing individuals with a passion for animal welfare in our community. In years' past almost one-third of the funds raised during this event are a direct result of amazing Restaurant Ambassadors!

Being an Ambassador is a great way to rally support for Buncombe County’s neediest animals and an even better way to reconnect with friends, coworkers, family, and business associates.  Ambassadors promote their restaurant to everyone they know with the goal of filling the restaurant!

Ambassadors are needed for morning, lunch and dinner shifts: 8am – 11am for breakfast, 11am – 2pm for lunch, and 5:30pm – 8:30pm for dinner. Our large variety of restaurants includes locations in Asheville, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Swannanoa, Arden and Fairview.

Ambassadors are the face of Asheville Humane Society. During each shift, volunteers help by:

          •        Greeting diners and giving a brief intro on Dine To Be Kind

          •        Handing out donation envelopes and literature

          •        Thanking diners for supporting Dine to Be Kind

          •        Collecting donation envelopes

We will be holding training sessions to ensure each volunteer has an awesome Dine To Be Kind experience. Please contact us at volunteer[at]ashevillehumane[dot]org if you would like to be a part of our team, have fun, and, most importantly, help animals in your community!
