Foster Parents: From Pet lovers to Life Savers!
What hobby feels this good and saves a life?
Asheville Humane Society presents Fosterpalooza, a family-fun day to learn how the whole family can become LifeSavers by volunteering to foster puppies and kittens, dogs and cats. Meet and greet some of our adorable, fluffy foster friends. Hot cocoa, cider and cookies for all! Kids attending will learn how to make special kitty toys. Come spend an afternoon with Asheville Humane Society and change lives forever.
Who: Asheville Humane Society and YOU
What: Fosterpalooza, a family-fun day of learning about foster care for pets
When: Saturday, January 28th, 2011; Starts at 1 p.m.
How: Open admission to the public
Cost: No charge
Why: Because we love animals and we want to save lives but we need the community to help by becoming volunteer foster parents

Bleach & Liquid Laundry Detergent
Each day we do more than 1,300 pounds of laundry to keep the animals clean and comfy. We do 24 loads each day in industrial-sized washers. Whew! That's a lot of laundry! Please help us by donating bleach and liquid laundry detergent. Donations of bleach and liquid laundry detergent can be dropped off at our Adoption Center at 14 Forever Friend Lane, Tuesday-Saturday, Noon - 6 p.m. The animals send their thanks via meows and puppy kisses!
