Join us for Dog Day Afternoon at Lake Julian Park. It’s free fun for you and your dogs, presented by SanStone Health & Rehabilitation! Join in the fun with dog activities, rescue groups, pet-related booths, a pet photo area by Indulge Images, and an off-leash play area for small and large dogs, courtesy of Asheville Fencing.
We're teaming up with Cisco Pilates again for the class everyone's been waiting for. Join us for a beginner-friendly Pilates session where your workout buddies are kittens. Yes, really. Now that we're in the middle of the kitten season boom, this is a great way to get involved and help some tiny, precious paws.
We are hosting a Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, May 21st from 10 a.m.– 3 p.m. at the Asheville Humane Society Training Center at 800 Fairview Road, Suite C-1, Asheville, NC 28803 (back of building).
Join us with Blue Ghost Yoga at Cellarest for Strength + Flow yoga, guest starring a few very special guests: a few kittens ready to show off their biggest stretches.
We're partnering with Asheville Parks & Recreation to bring kitten snuggles to the Grove Street Community Center. Seniors can enjoy some furry company right after their lunch hour—because a little kitten time brightens any afternoon.
Have you ever wondered why your dog pulls on a leash, jumps up to greet people, and won’t do as you ask? This course will teach you how to communicate with your dog effectively. You will learn the skills necessary to teach your dog basic manners using reward-based training methods. We will build reliable behaviors such as sit, down, stay, wait, come, leave it, tug, and much more!
Does your dog have selective hearing? Do you have to repeat yourself when your dog is near distractions? We will expand upon basic training to help you get reliability anywhere, anytime, and at any distance. Your dog will learn how to stop forward movement when running towards a distraction, sitting at a distance, and more!
Your goal as a puppy parent is to give your pup the best possible start in life. Puppies learn more between 5 and 16 weeks of age than they will in their entire lifetime! Laying a positive foundation during this time is critical for puppies to grow into behaviorally healthy dogs. This course focuses on proper socialization, bite inhibition, house training, manners, and more!
Come join us at McCormick Field to watch the Asheville Tourists take on the Greensboro Grasshoppers! Mr. Moon & Ted E. Tourist will be there to meet your dogs and take photos by the Asheville Humane tent. Don’t miss out, the Tourists all want to meet your pups! Presented by Patton Avenue Pet Company.
