Trapped in a filthy, abandoned pool, a dog swam for survival until his head was barely visible. A joint rescue by Asheville Fire and APD pulled the exhausted 65-lb stray to safety. Brought to us as “Tank,” his journey from that contaminated water to a loving home is a powerful reminder: while rescue is an event, recovery is a journey.
