Asheville, NC (March 5, 2026) ─ Asheville Humane Society has announced its 21st Dine to Be Kind fundraising event, scheduled to take place on April 7, 2026. The event is proudly presented by Fred Anderson Subaru and Asheville Media Group.
For over two decades, Asheville-area restaurants have partnered with Asheville Humane Society to support local animals in need, and this year’s lineup continues that tradition. More than 50 local restaurants will participate, with premier locations donating 25 percent of all sales and participating venues contributing 15 percent.
Community members are invited to participate by dining out for breakfast, lunch or dinner on April 7 in support of Asheville Humane Society.
“The impact of Dine to Be Kind is truly twofold,” said Tracy Elliott, executive director of Asheville Humane Society. “Not only does it raise critical funds to care for the hundreds of animals who rely on Asheville Humane Society each year, but it also encourages our community to show up for the local restaurants that make Asheville so special.”
Last year, when local restaurant partners were still recovering in the wake of Helene, AHS shifted the event’s focus to driving business their way. This year, Dine to Be Kind will return to its traditional fundraising format, in continuing spirit of mutual support with the Asheville community.
Funds raised during Dine to Be Kind directly support the organization’s medical care initiatives, community programs, and foster and adoption services, ensuring that local animals receive the care and quality of life they deserve.
A complete list of participating restaurants is available on the Dine to Be Kind event page. Organizers note that some venues may announce their participation later; the public is encouraged to check the website regularly for updates.
Local favorites Biscuit Head have been participating for over a decade.
“We are beyond honored and proud to continue partnering with the Asheville Humane Society after all these years. AHS provides such an incredible service to some of this community’s most innocent (and adorable) members,” said Carolyn Roy, co-owner of Biscuit Head. “In 2025 they chose to forgo their annual fundraiser and encouraged you all to come out in our support rather than theirs. You all did just that, so thank you. Let’s show some of that appreciation right back and make this the best Dine to Be Kind yet!”
