What is something you love about your pet? What else should someone know about your pet?:
Sky is a wonderful dog with lots of potential. She loves her people, sharing a recliner, and playing with her toys. She loves walks, hikes, and the dog park. She sleeps in her crate quietly all night. She is probably 9-10 months old, and she weighs 19 pounds. She is fully vaccinated and on heartworm prevention. Sky is only 19 pounds, but she is a strong young athlete. If she wanted to jump a fence, she could. She would love a yard with a high fence, and another dog to play with would be great. Sky is great in the car. She curls up and goes to sleep, even in her seatbelt. She is a great napper!
Has your pet lived with:
Dogs
How many hours is your pet home alone each day?:
0-5
What does your pet dislike or fear?:
Sky has separation anxiety. She cannot be left alone in her crate for more than a few hours, so a stay-at-home parent would be best for her. She’s not ready to be left loose in the house, and she would still have anxiety that might be expressed by chewing up things. She isn’t used to strangers coming and going. She attaches to her people, but protects her space. She is friendly with dogs and people when out walking. She is an independent adolescent who was not trained as a young puppy. She requires a patient and experienced owner who will be committed to the work. Sky is going to school once a week, so she is learning some things. She is a little skittish, and tends to come to us only when she wants to, but she is very treat-oriented, and will come for a treat, even at the dog park.Sky can be nippy if a stranger rushes towards her or approaches too quickly. She should be supervised closely around small children. She can be feisty, and she will fight back if a dog attacks her, but she doesn’t initiate aggression.
