What is something you love about your pet? What else should someone know about your pet?:
Dublin is my 3 1/2 year-old, orange-colored American Shorthair. He is extremely hyper and playful, and the complete opposite of his brother Tommy, (gray shorthair in pictures). Dublin loves rubs and being held; he finds comfort and solace in affection. He is a people-cat, and requires a lot of attention. He is more high-maintenance than his brother, and has severe separation anxiety if left alone for too long. Dublin requires being able to go outside. He has destroyed numerous items in efforts to be let outdoors. He will not stray far, I found that he will not go further than the neighbors house for adventures. He is extremely food-territorial and has a scarcity-mentality. I imagine this is from being the "beta" to Tommy. My concerns for Dublin are around his comfort, outdoor access, and other animals. He has gotten severely depressed when left alone before, and he is intuitive to people who don't want him around. He's a sensitive cat, that relies on humans for security. He is litter-trained, but doesn't really like using the litter box. He should have access to outdoors, but also needs an affectionate person to give him lots of love and attention. He does surprisingly well with dogs, but absolutely hates other cats. He does well with children, but he is very slow to trust. He WILL NOT bite or scratch you unless he is playing and accidentally does so. One of the most amicable cats I have ever encountered. Neutered and updated on his shots. OH, he hates car rides and will probably poop in his carrier.
