Paw it Forward, presented by Dog Tag Art, is Asheville Humane Society’s first peer-to-peer fundraising campaign! Launching on April 15, this “Pets Helping Pets” campaign gives our supporters and their pets the opportunity to help other local animals in need.
Peer-to-peer fundraising is a way to empower supporters to fundraise on behalf of an organization by engaging with their friends and family to reach a larger audience. Campaigners will build their own Paw it Forward donation page through the user-friendly online fundraising platform, everydayhero.
The pet’s picture will be uploaded as the supporter photo and their playful and charming “voice” will do the asking. For example: “I’m Barkley and my family wouldn’t know what to do without me! Who would finish off their leftovers and keep the bed warm while they’re away? I’m so glad they chose me to be their companion! Will you please donate to help homeless pets find a loving family to call their own?”
The campaign runs from April 15-June 15 and our goal is to raise $60,000 to enhance quality care for our shelter animals and expand our services for at-risk pets in our community. We aim to provide people with the resources they need to keep companion animals in loving homes and out of the shelter.
Campaigners will be eligible for prizes throughout the campaign and grand prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers at the Paw it Forward Campaign Celebration in June.
Thank you for Pawing it Forward!
