Renowned jazz artists Maddy Winer, Vince Lewis, & The Jazz All-Stars will provide the evening’s entertainment. As you listen to the music, you can savor a wide variety of delicious hors d’oeuvres and enjoy a broad wine selection, making it a perfect night to relax and have fun.
In addition to the music and food, there will be dancing, photos among the vineyard roses, mini-tours of the vineyard, and a raffle, ensuring a memorable, entertaining, and joy-filled night. We are also thrilled to introduce the plans for our AHS Mobile Medical Unit at this event.

Meet the Musicians
Maddy Winer
Recording artist Maddy Winer is known for her effortless interpretation and jazz styling of the Great American Songbook. Maddy headlines concerts throughout the U.S. and Canada including New York’s prestigious Lincoln Center. She is also a featured performer on the popular PBS special “Loonis McGlohon & Friends.” Maddy has appeared with countless jazz legends including Dave Brubeck, David Sanborn, Cyrus Chestnut, Joe Sample, John Pizzarelli, George Shearing, Ellis Marsalis, Diane Schuur, Al Jarreau and a host of others who introduced her to a loyal following of music lovers from all genres.
Maddy toured as a headliner in the stage show “North Carolina Is My Home,” written by and starring Loonis McGlohon and Charles Kuralt. The performances were so successful that PBS created and aired a television special “Loonis McGlohon & Friends” which featured Maddy.
Maddy’s latest CD releases are “Heart To Heart” featuring Cyrus Chestnut, Bernard “Pretty” Purdie, Vince Lewis, John Brown and Todd Wright; and “Crossroads” with Heritage Guitar jazz legend Vince Lewis, Rick Simerly, Todd Wright, Bill Covington, Tom Hildreth and River Guerguerian. Maddy is a favorite pick on Amazon Music, iTunes and Pandora.
Vince Lewis
Vince Lewis is a veteran jazz performer, composer and recording artist. Since actively pursuing a solo career, he has achieved national acclaim and airplay, as well as outstanding critical reviews in every major jazz publication. He is recognized in the Jazz Guitar category as one of the “Leading Active Jazz Artists” by Jazz Inside Magazine and noted as “One of the leading active Jazz Artists” in the Jazz Guitar category since 2002 by Jazz Improv Magazine. Jim Carlton, Conversations with Great Jazz and Studio Guitarists says “His playing is indicative of the rarified air of true mastery. He routinely creates engaging and excellent music.”
Vince also holds the distinct honor for being inducted into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame. He has released over 20 jazz recordings.

The Venue
The land known today as Souther Williams Vineyard has a long and storied history rooted in the spirit of family and friends. The land originally comprised most of what today is the Hoopers Creek valley and consisted of 10,000 acres back in the mid 1800’s. The 35 acre property, which is what is left today, forms the old original homeplace and you can still find remnants on the property today from an era gone by.

The event will go on rain or shine. There is a covered patio and indoor area available.
Parking is easily accessible and available onsite.
Unfortunately, no. This is an adult-only event intended for guests to relax and enjoy themselves.
Your ticket grants you exclusive entrance to the event. In addition to the live music, delicious food, and two glasses of wine, and one entry to our grand prize raffle, you will have the chance to take stunning photos among the vineyard roses and explore the vineyard on mini-tours.
