Are you interested in learning about what it takes to help kittens in need?  Come and join us as we go over the details of how to help kittens (aged 5-8 weeks) grow big and strong.  You just might realize that you’ve got what it takes to be a life saver!

During this class, we'll discuss the typical kitten fostering experience, including milestones to aim for and possible complications that may arise while caring for tiny cats.

All are invited to attend this class including current fosters, volunteers, and anyone interested in learning more!

Fostering Neonates 101

Babies, babies, babies! In this class we will go over the specifics involved with caring for our most precious and critical shelter animals: neonates!

Attendees will learn how to properly feed them, keep them warm and comfortable, and get them through their most crucial life stage. We welcome anyone interested to attend, no prerequisites and you are not required to be a current foster or volunteer! After all, you never know when you'll stumble across some babies that need you!

This job is very hands-on and interactive with the public-- you must love people, too! It is an extremely rewarding job, but also requires an open mind and an open heart, free of pre-judgements.

Cat Enrichment Building Workshop

If you’re interested in learning how to build enrichment items for the cats at the shelter and in foster care, this is the workshop for you!  Our cat enrichment volunteer will guide the workshop, showing attendees how to create cardboard cat scratchers, box puzzles, and fleece catnip toys for the cats in the shelter and in foster care.  These items improve the lives of shelter cats by giving them enriching activities to occupy the time they’re spending in their kennels, which decreases the instances of illness and behavioral issues in shelter cats.
