GET INVOLVED And save lives!
Asheville Humane Society depends on the support of our community to save lives. Each year, hundreds of our neighbors donate time, goods, and money to help us save lives. We encourage you to become a LifeSaver by getting involved!
VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Asheville Humane Society, helping us with everything from the day-to-day tasks of caring for animals and running an office, to assisting at special events, to helping raise funds to build a new Adoption and Education Center. We have all sorts of exciting
life-saving volunteer opportunities:
- Save lives by fostering animals in your own home until they are ready for adoption
- Save lives by keeping our resident animals healthy and happy through cuddling, walking, bathing, and playing with animals in transition at our Adoption Center
- Save lives by providing direct-care by bathing animals and cleaning kennels/cages
- Save lives by working at special events such as adoption days at local businesses and at the information table at community events.
- Save lives by helping our TNR partner, Friends2Ferals, trap/neuter/return free-roaming cats in Buncombe County
- Save lives by putting your special talents to work in the service of animals in our administrative offices
