THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER FANTASTIC WALK FOR THE aNIMALS!
Over 500 hundred people and their pets gathered on April 26, 2008, to raise over $50,000 to help the homeless animals in our community while having fun at the walkathon and picnic on the grounds of the historic Biltmore Estate. Registered participants solicited sponsors for their walk and joined the festivities: a dog walk, contests, picnic, entertainment, demos, vendor booths and other activities.
Grand Prizes
The highest individual fundraisers, Joel and Debbie Berkowitz, raised over $5,000 and will receive the honor of having their dog, Hershey, serve as the official SpokesPet for the 2009 Walk for the Animals! Hershey's duties will include leading the 2009 Walk on the Biltmore Estate!
The team that raised the most money, You Work, I'll Play, will receive a brick engraved with their team name to be permanently displayed in the new Adoption and Education Center!
