Freaks & Geeks Tattoo Sideshow is hosting its second annual “Tattooing Paws for a Cause” benefit in support of Asheville Humane Society. The fundraiser will be held June 1-30 at the shop, which is located at 745 Haywood Rd. in West Asheville.

The centerpiece of the campaign is a 12-hour pet paw print tattoo and body piercing marathon from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Freaks & Geeks. During that day, patrons may choose from four paw print tattoo designs for the deeply discounted price of $40. Diamond Thieves Body Piercing owner Daron James will provide above-the-neck and belly button piercings during the daylong event for the reduced cost of $15. All clients will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds from the marathon will benefit Asheville Humane Society, which will have a few adorable, adoptable animals on site for adoption from noon to 4 p.m.

“Tattooing Paws for a Cause” is the brainchild of Freaks & Geeks co-owner Tiffany Leach. "Every year this fundraiser brings together two of my passions: animals and tattoos," Leach said. "And I love that Freaks & Geeks and our clients will once again be helping Asheville Humane Society continue to do their good work."
