Reasons for Giving

Many of our programs depend entirely on contributions from individuals, companies, and foundations. There are many reasons to give; which one's right for you?

• Your gift will help the animals in your community.
• A gift to Asheville Humane Society makes a wonderful birthday or holiday present to the animal lover in your life: we'll send you an acknowledgement letter and a hand-lettered card to the recipient of the present.
• A memorial gift in honor of a departed friend is a beautiful tribute to their memory. We will send you an acknowledgement letter and, if you wish, a hand-lettered card to a specified relative of the deceased.
• A gift of at least $20.00 automatically enrolls you as a member of Asheville Humane Society (of course, if you'd prefer not to be a member, please let us know). Your membership entitles you to a copy of our newsletter and a vote at our membership meetings.
• Show your neighbors that your business cares about its community by donating to your local Humane Society.
• A "planned gift" clause in your will can provide invaluable help to animals for years to come. Please contact our Executive Director if you'd like to discuss a planned gift.
• Asheville Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization, and donations to us are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
