The Adoption and Education Center is named for Nancy Hiscoe Clark, an exceptional woman who took the dreams of many animal lovers and began to make them a reality. The late Nancy Hiscoe Clark’s love of animals was evident throughout her life and culminated in a profound concern for the plight of homeless animals in Buncombe County. Asheville Humane Society will always remember with love and deepest gratitude the woman who greatly contributed to making our community a more compassionate place for homeless animals. We thank you, Nancy.
